As previous parents mentioned, this toy was not a big hit during tummy time; my son ignored it when he was really small. I then attached it to his crib figuring at least it looked cute. Then, once he got to be about 5 months old and strong enough to pull the cord, he loved it! He still plays with it all the time and he’s a year old now. He loves it when my husband and I try to sing along with the songs.

We lost this toy in a tornado and here I am to buy a replacement! We got this as a gift and I didn’t think much of it, but put it in the crib anyway. Well, once my baby figured out how to pull the handle herself at about age 9 or 10 months, she LOVED it. Keeps her in the crib for a few quiet minutes after naptime. Now at age 15 months, she pulls the lever to make me sing the songs to her. Love it!

I bought this to encourage more tummy time but my 4 month old doesn’t care much for it. It doesn’t stand up well and the handle to start the mouse moving is very hard to pull for a baby.

I was researching gyms to buy for my son and came across this one. I couldn’t find a review for this item. I went looking on the fisher price website and found out it is under animal friends musical gym. After looking at online pictures I decided to buy this. I am so glad I did this is perfect size for us. It is compact and easy to store but has some of the same features as the more pricey gyms. The mirror is great you can see yourself perfect in it (not like the other ones I have seen on some baby items) The toys are great and the colors are bright and cheery. The penguin plays a cute little song that is not annoy or loud. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy this item again.
It was easy to assemble and took a couple minutes to get it all together.
It says it takes 3-6 weeks to get this item but with Amazon prime mine came within 4 days.

I purchased this from Amazon, it arrived in two days! My grandson who is 33 days old just loves it! I put him on his back on his bobby pillow (Leach) also purchased through Amazon. Joshua looked at the toys hanging and right away smiled and swung at the toys…. making the cuttest baby noises. This was the sweetest experience and for such a young guy it kept him intertained for a good 10-15 minutes his first time using it. I think he will get a lot of use out of this and many happy smiles.

I am very pleased with this play gym. I wanted to get a smaller one as our living room is not very big. And, I wanted to et one that did not have all the bells and whistles–sometimes they are just too much.
This play gym fits the bill. It is smaller and easy to move and store. It is stimulating to the baby, but not overstimulating. I really like that the toys are attached by pulling the cloth piece through an opening in the toy rather than with velcro. No need to worry that it will get old and that the toys won’t stay on.
I bought this for my 2 month old daughter, and she likes laying and looking at the toys. She likes the music that the penguin plays (it’s a classical tune–no ear wrenching “baby” tune).
If you are looking for a smaller, simple play gym, this would be a good buy.

Our baby loves playing with his toys on this mat — I bought it for its compact size since our living room is fairly small. It’s just right at this point since he’s not yet rolling over. However, I realized that the small size means he doesn’t have room to attempt rolling over either. So I’ll be buying a larger one he can use for the coming months. But we’re enjoying it now! Finally, Mom and Dad can actually eat a meal without holding baby, since he’ll lay and play with his toys!

I purchased this for my son to play with at my parents house and it has been great. It is small and compact so it is easy to travel with. When it arrived I thought it was missing a toy and I called Fisher-Price the customer service I received was absolutely fantastic! They offered me a voucher for a new one which I ended up not needing (we found the the toy just a mix up of “too many cooks in the kitchen”) I was impressed. I will continue to purchase FP products.
